Care4Burn is a non-profit and voluntary organisation. Our aim is to help patients, primarily children in Tanzania, with severe burn injuries.
Mission
Care4Burn works to strengthen local and professional health competences within burn wound care and reconstructive surgery through donation of necessary surgical equipment, financial support for patient treatments and training of local health professionals.
Vision
That patients with burn injuries in Africa, primarily children in Tanzania, are offered modern burn care treatment at local specialized burn units.
History
Meeting Faraja, a 6-year-old girl with life-threatening burn injuries on almost half of her body, changed Care4Burn’s founder, Karianne W. Fjære’s life.
